Why we built Parkena
Airport parking is confusing on purpose — opaque prices, mystery lots, and terminal rates that punish you for driving. We started Parkena to put the operators on one page, at a total that cannot move between the screen and the booking, so choosing where to leave your car takes minutes rather than a spreadsheet. Operators list and sell through the same system they run their car parks on, so there is one copy of the availability and nothing to reconcile. Parkena lists a car park only once a person here has read and approved its operator, and your card is charged when you book.
What Parkena does not do
No fund
There is no pot of money here to settle a claim out of. Parkena holds the money for your stay and refunds it when a cancellation qualifies; that is the whole of it.
No rebooking desk
Nobody is on a rota to find you another car park at five in the morning. If a space is not there, Parkena cannot conjure one, cover a taxi or pay a difference.
No verification badge
A person here reads what an operator submits before a listing can sell. Nobody visits the site or sees an insurance certificate, and the review does not check the company register, so no listing claims otherwise.
No condition record
No photograph, odometer reading or fuel level is captured at handover. Nothing is stored against your booking beyond the booking itself.
